Real Wedding: Maura & Erik

In May, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting Maura and Erik, who were in need of a last minute florist for their upcoming wedding. They wanted their florals to make a statement, and they definitely came to the right place! They had booked St. Mark’s Episcopal Church as well as The Seelbach-Hilton for their...

Real Wedding: Stacy & Daniel

Stacy & Daniel married June 13, 2010 at Whitehall House & Gardens, which shall be recorded as the hottest wedding day of the year!  Our entire team had such a great time working with this couple. For their design concept we wanted to keep things very “Victorian Garden”, you’ll notice their arrangements overflowing with hydrangea, roses, lisianthus...

Real Wedding: Sarah & Jon

Sarah and Jon were such a wonderful couple to work with! They got married at the absolutely stunning Greystone Estate overlooking the Ohio River. The setting was absolutely picturesque, and the weather stayed delightfully warm. (For the guests that were a little too warm, we provided the programs as convenient personal fans!!) No words could...

Real Wedding: Melissa & Abe

Melissa and Abe are probably one of the most fun and unique couples we have had yet. With a beautiful ceremony at the ornate St. Michael’s Orthodox Church, and a reception at the Gillespie, they were able to tie aspects of his Arabic culture and her chic style to make an unforgettably beautiful wedding. As...

Behind the Scenes

This weekend was a busy one here at Lauren Chitwood Events.  All hands were on deck for these two big weddings.  I like to think of it like the movie, “The Wedding Weekend.”  The days were long and exhausting, but the excitement on the Brides’faces makes it so worth it.  As an intern for Lauren,...

Today We Eat Cake

On this day in history, we will always remember it as the legal birthday of Lauren Chitwood Events. Like every birth, conception and planning started long before but today we are eating cake in honor of a birthday. As time passes it feels like decades some moments and just a few weeks the next, it’s...

We had an amazing wedding in Lexington Kentucky this weekend. I’ve been in awe of my team and I seriously can’t wait to to share some professional images with everyone. Scotty, with Think Photographs was the photographer this weekend – I’m sure he totally rocked it out! My good friend Lang, with Lang Thomas Photography...

Corproate Event: Louisville Nutcracker

On December 20, 2009 we assisted one of our corporate clients, Northwestern Mutual,  with a holiday function at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. In the hopes that this event would be family oriented we had a short pre-reception where light snacks, coco, cider and refreshment were served, then the guests enjoyed the amazing Brown-Forman...
