February 16, 2012 - 11:12 AM - It's easy to be disdainful of Valentine's Day and lambast it as over commercialized, etc. However, ever since I met Adam he has made every Valentine's Day so special and romantic that it's hard not to embrace it! This year I woke up to a sweet card with a romantic message and some gift cards to my favorite stores, and that evening we went out to dinner and had a great time. He always makes sure there's a special card from our cats as well :) Even though we go out on "dates" often and I feel loved all the time, it's nice to have a day to amp things up a bit! I hope years down the line when adult life gets in the way of every day romantic spontaneity, that Valentine's Day will help us remember to make each other feel special every day of the year!
